🕊️ Remembering Fuzzy Zoeller
Fuzzy Zoeller
Fuzzy Zoeller has passed away at 74. He was a two-time major champion and one of golf’s most recognisable personalities, winning the 1979 Masters on his first attempt by beating Tom Watson and Ed Sneed in a playoff, and later claiming the 1984 U.S. Open at Winged Foot after outlasting Greg Norman. Fans loved his light touch and humour, although his story was complicated by the remarks he made about Tiger Woods in 1997, a moment he later said was the biggest mistake of his life. A complex legacy and a player the sport will remember for generations.

💰 LIV Golf’s 2025 Money Leaders
LIV Money Leaders Rahm
LIV’s 2025 money list was on another level. Jon Rahm led the season with $33,013,792 🥇 and Joaquin Niemann followed with $30,522,381 🥈. Bryson DeChambeau finished third with just over $15 million, while Dean Burmester and Sebastian Muñoz both broke the $10 million mark. The rest of the top ten included Talor Gooch, Patrick Reed, Sergio Garcia, Carlos Ortiz and Marc Leishman, all clearing $6.9 million. Another year where LIV’s numbers felt unreal.
💵 PGA Tour’s 2025 Money Leaders
PGA Money Leaders Scheffler
Scottie Scheffler dominated the 2025 PGA Tour money list with earnings of $27,659,550 🥇 after a season featuring six wins and seventeen top tens. Tommy Fleetwood claimed second with $18,496,238 🥈 following another consistent global run, while Rory McIlroy finished third at $16,992,418. Rounding out the top ten were Russell Henley, J.J. Spaun, Justin Thomas, Sepp Straka, Ben Griffin, Patrick Cantlay and Justin Rose, all comfortably above the $8.8 million mark. A huge season across the board.
💔 Rory says golf is “broken” for now
Rory McIlroy LIV Commentary
After looking at the LIV and PGA money leaders above, Rory says it is clear why the sport feels split. He believes LIV’s “irrational spending” has created a fracture that will be very hard to fix and that unification is not realistic right now. For the moment he says he feels far more comfortable on the PGA Tour side of that growing money divide.

😬 Cam Smith is searching for answers
Cameron Smith Struggles
Cam Smith has now missed seven cuts in a row and says he feels confused by his form. After a tough 75 at Royal Queensland, he admitted the slump is “in his head” and he cannot pinpoint the issue. The 2022 Open champion says he is thinking about golf more than ever and is hoping next week’s Australian Open gives him something to build on.
😮 A moment every golf fan remembers
Tiger Woods Crash
Sixteen years ago today, golf changed in a single moment. Only real fans know the impact this image had on all of us and the ripple effect it had on the course of golf history. It was one of those where were you moments that every fan still remembers.
That’s a wrap on this week’s issue.
